Have your boiler checked by an approved PEB technician
In Brussels a gas boiler or gas water heater needs a PEB periodic control every 2 years, an oil or wood boiler every year. In a rental the tenant arranges it unless the lease says otherwise.

The PEB periodic control is a full service of the appliance that checks it runs safely and efficiently enough. Gas boilers and gas water heaters need one every 2 years. Oil boilers and solid-fuel boilers (wood, pellets) need one every year. A control is also due after a repair to the combustion part, such as changing or adjusting the burner, and after the boiler is moved.
If you rent, you arrange the control yourself unless the lease gives it to someone else, such as the owner or the syndic. Only a PEB boiler technician approved by Bruxelles Environnement may do it, so check the name in the official list of PEB professionals before you book.
The technician fills in the attestation online, and Bruxelles Environnement produces the official PDF; it can be emailed to the owner and to a contact person such as the tenant. If the boiler fails, the owner has 5 months to bring it up to standard and have it checked again. Without a valid attestation, the owner, landlord or occupant risks a sanction.
