ECORENO is a loan from the Fonds du Logement for renovating a home in one of the 19 Brussels municipalities. Depending on your file it is a mortgage loan or a consumer loan, and its interest rate is preferential and depends on your household income. Energy works such as insulation, ventilation, efficient heating, a heat pump or solar panels qualify, as do other works on safety, health and habitability. The Fonds du Logement page has a simulator and the current conditions, rates and income ceilings.

Owner-occupiers and future buyers can apply, and tenants can get the consumer loan under certain conditions. Your household income must stay under the ceilings, you must live permanently in Belgium, the home must be your only property, and the works must be done by a contractor registered with the Banque-Carrefour des Entreprises. For now, landlords and associations of co-owners cannot get the loan. Homegrade and the Réseau Habitat check whether your project qualifies and help you put together the application, free of charge.
