Check Mijn VerbouwPremie before you renovate

The Flemish renovation premium covers eight kinds of works done by a contractor; since March 2026 some income categories only get it for a heat pump, so run the simulator first.

Mijn VerbouwPremie is the Flemish government's premium for renovation and energy works in homes and apartments. It covers eight categories: windows and doors, roof, outer walls, floor, preparatory damp works, preparatory plumbing and electrical works, heat pumps and heat-pump boilers. The works must be done by a contractor, sometimes a certified one. Solar water heaters and interior renovation no longer qualify since July 2025.

What you can get depends on who you are (owner-occupier, investor, landlord to a social housing company) and, for owner-occupiers, your income category. Since 1 March 2026, owner-occupiers in income categories 1 and 2, and other investors in a home, only get the premium for a heat pump or heat-pump boiler. Run the official simulator before you sign quotes, so you know what to count on.

You apply online at Mijn VerbouwLoket with itsme or eID, after the works, and within two years of the last invoice. Keep invoices, contractor certificates and photos together. Changes for landlords are planned for 2027, so check the official page for the current rules.
